While working closely with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) the Swansea Fire Department is always excited for our annual Public Safety and Fire Prevention Week events. Often observed within the month of October, the SFD family is always willing to spend days of their free time to create a fun learning experience for the whole family to enjoy. Members of the SFD will also spend Fire Prevention Week getting valuable hands-on time with the students at Swansea public schools, teaching students of all ages the importance of fire safety.
